Zerah and Guiness produce purebred Savannahs. C: They have 3 (C) generations of Savannah to Savannah breeding. 0: There are no (0) parents that are of an unknown or unregistered breed. P: A permissible (P) great grandparent is not a Savannah but a purebred Egyptian Mau is on Guiness`pedigree. This breed is recommended to develop the Savannah cat. This means that these kittens are show quality Kittens. This past spring at the TICA cat show they won in the litter mate competition for how well they represent the Savannah breed. Having four different acceptable coats and the rare smoke colour contributed to the judges' decision.

Smoke - dark shading on 30-60% of coat and near-white at the base. Smoke is an acceptable Savannah colour and is rare to come across in all the feline kingdom. Fully mature this coat has an eye catching irridescent quality.

Silver spotted Savannah kittens are born with 'tarnish' on their black spotted coats giving them a rusty tone along the ridge of their back. This clears up beautifully as they mature. Black spots and stripes are well con- trasted by a brilliant white undercoat.

Melanistic servals are found in the wild. A black coat is not only acceptable in the Savannah breed, it is sought by breeders striving to develop a line of large, inky black spotted Savannahs. At 4 months these kittens swagger around here like mini Jaguars with their over-sized paws broad noses and lanky legs. Purrs like heavy machinery.
